After over a decade in the grown up corporate world, I started to get really stressed out! Diagnosed with Generalized Anxiety, Panic Disorder, and OCD I realized I needed to make a change.

Outside of work I was spending all of my time & money pursuing things that brought me joy. Playing with my improv troupe, writing jokes; moving my body in yoga, LOL’ing with my laughter yoga club. And during a mental breakdown that changed the course of my life I had an epiphany, what if joy doesn’t need to be chased, but actively practiced? Then would I feel and work better?

The answer was YES, And…that’s when I started to become The Funny Yogi & helping others become THE best version of themselves in their teams, their relationships, whatever role they needed to perform optimally in.

I am passionate about bringing joy and child-like fulfillment back to adults and helping managers, teams, and individuals find ways to weave joy practices INTO their work, parenting, lifestyle, whatever it may be to live a more FUNctional life!

A certified Yoga Instructor since 2011 but it wasn’t until I found Laughter Yoga in 2015 that it all came together for me. I immediately got certified to teach because I knew laughter made me feel good, and yet sometimes in Comedy it was at my own expense. When you realize you can laugh for no reason and still get all the benefits with none of the down sides, it’s like a SUPER POWER! I stopped all performative comedy and started teaching people how to practice laughter instead.

My 5 year stint on stage with The National Comedy Theatre taught me concepts and approaches to life that were key to my success in my mental health journey. So finally I left the day job in 2018 and became a Professional Motivational Speaker bringing the tenets of Positive Psychology, Applied Improv, and Laughter Yoga to individuals, communities, and corporate cultures all over the Globe.
