Comedy Yoga Jam

Have you ever wanted to learn how to better navigate “think on your feet” situations? How is your flexibility when it comes to adapting to change?
This night is sure to be full of laughs, playful Improv games, yummy stretches, and helpful life hacks to bring more joy & flexibility (both mentally and physically) to your life.
We’ll explore everything from adapting your practice to match where your body & mind are each day, to how to deal with injuries, and even some helpful techniques for new yoga instructors. We’ll do this through playing yoga based Improv games and exploring the similarities between Yoga and Comedy.
Everyone from Yoga Instructors looking for guidance in public speaking and leading a class, to non yoga enthusiasts who just like to laugh and have a good time will benefit from this unique FriYAY night! So whats stopping you??? Learn how to think (and balance) on your feet…and maybe your hands too!
Jessica Brustad (aka The Funny Yogi) is a 500 HR RYT Vinyasa Yoga Instructor as well as an Improv and Stand Up Comedian! Jessica has been teaching yoga since 2011 and performing Improv at San Diego’s National Comedy Theater since 2013. Jessica is also a Registered Laughter Yoga Leader, yup she teaches people how to laugh! She is passionate about bringing joy and child-like fulfillment back to adults and Comedy and Yoga have served as perfect vehicles to do just that. If you’re looking for something outside the norm she’s it. Her unique style of high energy mixed with mindfulness practices are sure to entertain, educate, and motivate you on your own path to wellness, balance, and most of all joy!
